Sign in to Formist

Sign in with an email verification code, a registered passkey, or an identity provider such as Microsoft, Google, or Lark, depending on your deployment.

Formist supports signing in by email verification code, a registered passkey, or an identity provider such as Microsoft, Google, or Lark, depending on what your deployment enables. Every successful method creates the same Formist browser session, then returns you to onboarding, a requested Help page, or the space picker.

Sign in with your email address

  1. Open the Formist sign-in page.
  2. Enter your email address and select Next.
  3. Formist checks whether that account has a registered passkey.
  4. If no passkey is registered, Formist emails a six-digit verification code.
  5. Enter the code and select Verify & continue.

Verification codes expire. If a code is rejected or has expired, request a new one. Repeated requests may be temporarily limited, so wait briefly before trying again.

Sign in with a passkey

If a passkey is registered for the email address, Formist prompts your browser or device to use it. Complete the device verification to continue.

If you cancel the passkey prompt or cannot use the registered authenticator, choose Use a verification code instead to continue by email.

Sign in with Microsoft, Google, or Lark

Select the provider offered by your deployment, such as Continue with Microsoft, Continue with Google, or Continue with Lark, then complete its sign-in and consent flow. Lark and non-global Microsoft options appear only when the deployment profile and server both enable them. A provider button may be unavailable or return an error when its credentials or redirect address are not configured.

The first time you sign in with a provider whose address Formist cannot confirm (always the case for Lark), Formist asks for an email verification code. Enter the email of the account you already use. If no account uses the address you verify, Formist asks before doing anything: choose Use my existing account's email to attach the provider to your account, or Create a new account if you really want a separate one.

Manage sign-in methods in Settings

Open Settings, then Security, then Sign-in methods:

  • Microsoft: Connect Microsoft signs you in with Microsoft. Once connected, Grant full access asks for permission to send email and open SharePoint files in one consent. When everything is granted, the row shows Connected and no button.
  • Lark (Feishu): shown only where your deployment offers Lark sign-in. While signed in, select Connect Feishu to link your Lark account to the account you are using now. It never creates another account or switches you to one. The row then shows the linked name and an Unlink button.

What happens after sign-in

After authentication, Formist checks your account and space access:

  • New users may be asked to complete first-time setup.
  • Invited users can accept a pending space invitation.
  • Members of several spaces can choose which one to enter.
  • Returning users may be taken directly to their most recently used space.
  • Accounts that are still on the waitlist cannot enter the product until access is granted.

Troubleshooting

The email did not arrive
Check the address, spam folder, and any company email filtering. Then request a new code.

The code is invalid or expired
Request a new code and use the latest email. Do not reuse an older code.

The passkey prompt does not work
Make sure the device or browser can access the registered passkey, or switch to an email verification code.

A work-account button fails
Ask your space administrator whether that identity provider is enabled for your Formist environment.
