EU Battery Passport (DPP)
Build a battery's Digital Product Passport (DPP) data file under the EU Batteries Regulation (EU) 2023/1542, mandatory from 18 February 2027 for EV batteries, LMT (light means of transport, e.g. e-bike or e-scooter) batteries, and industrial batteries over 2 kWh. Structures the output on the EU-funded Battery Pass consortium's Data Attribute Longlist and Data Model (v2.0, August 2026) and cross-checks every field against the European Commission's own Guidance Document, data points by category, version 2.0, 15 August 2026 (Ares(2026)7968977), downloaded and read directly from the Commission's own site. Use this skill whenever the user mentions Digital Product Passport, DPP, ESPR, battery passport, Regulation 2023/1542, Annex XIII, EU battery regulation compliance, or needs to prepare battery life-cycle data for EU market access. Does not cover textiles or iron and steel DPPs (no EU-adopted data model exists for either as of this skill's last review) and does not calculate a battery's carbon footprint (that data point is itself excluded from the passport until a separate carbon-footprint act is adopted).
